Oh no so sorry to hear that, were they still alive? Well today is day 19 and can you believe I woke up to a chick zipping the shell. I am a little worried that it's too early! I did incubate them in my LG for the first 3 days at a higher temp (that I didn't realize), but then set them in the hovabator at the perfect them and humidity. I just didn't expect them to start hatching already!

I am much less anxious this hatch, lets just hope I stay this way!

Dear Scubadeaux.I to am so sorry you had to go through this......If it helps at all..you certainly helped the rest of us with your learning experience.
I think I wrote in here my experience with helping eggs.I read that some folks have success with it but I have not.
Out of three that I have helped, two died within a few days and one that did make it is just not thrifty....very small.I truely am not certain I did this little one a favor.
This last one had a toe missing on one foot,the other legs spayed and foot not right, was tiny.I did everything I knew to do,wrapped the leg, hand fed ect. and it passed.I really think it was under a lot of stress being messed with and trying to stand..Not sure I am going to help again.

Newly weds, lets hope you just have a very strong baby that cannot wait to see you .........

I have to talk to all of you this morning.It would not be a good time to discuss it with hubby...............
There are hatching eggs for blue Americaunas for sale........................OMG.................I think I have to have them

...but had commited to hubby that I would not hatch anymore this year due to not wanting chicks
when our bad weather starts....Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I wish the grown up part of me would kick in.
so how do I handle this..........say, look dear....the incubater layed eggs.......................or I do not have a clue where these came from.one of my online friends must have sent them..............Oh crap.............
If I told him "I have to have these eggs." He would say. "why don't you get 2 dozen and fill the inc."
I'm just feeling like such a child.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'll let you know what happens.............

Wolfwoman That is AWESOME!!! I hatched Orloffs a few weeks ago, it was a really rough hatch, and ended up with two, and I think a roo and a pullet

. I am wanting to add the mahogany to them. Please keep me updated on this, I love these and am hoping to give another try at hatching them now that I have a better bator
