That is wonderful!!! How was it? Stressful, enjoyable, certainly rewarding with a first place? Did you do it by yourself or have help? How many days did it take you to prepare? Was it a good sized show? Being in Atlanta I would guess so. Sorry for so many questions. I hope I can show a couple of my CatDance babies this Spring which is why I ordered the eggs this fall. I try and contribute and ask questions in the Silkie thread but I am nearly totally ignored. I have only been to one chicken show and I think I caught the youth showmanship classes. I was telling Brookhavens, the kids stood by the pens their chickens were in, wearing white lab coats, and the judges came by looked at the wings and the chickens butt? I don't know what the butt looking was for, I guessed the wing was split wing or something like that. I used to show horses when I was younger, but this chicken showing is a lot different.yes i have shown once so far...my splash girl won first
Very nice. Please don't think you shouldn't monitor tho. Things fail, usually at the worst possible time.this is the first time I've tried using a hen ...i have always used my bator...hovobator Genesis 1588...it is awesome....i don't even put in any temp or humidity gauges any more...
