Well, today is a good day and a bad day for my eggers. The temp and humidity is still doing great (the incubator is a cheapy but it seems to be doing just fine regardless).
The bad: Something stinks in there, and I'm not sure why? This is only Day 2 of incubation, and I thought it wasn't until they were well into the incubation period when something might die and start stinking? Why stink on the 2nd day? To be honest, I thought it might have been the puppy tooting, because he was in there with me.
...but it wasn't him, as I went in and turned them a few minutes ago and the stinky is still there.
I picked up one egg at a time and sniffed it, and honestly they all smelled the same (like an egg, nothing stinky) but when I lift the top of the bator there's definitely a slight sulphur smell. It's very slight though (nothing overwhelming).
I guess I'm just wondering at THIS stage (Day 2) how the heck I'm supposed to be able to tell which egg is the culprit? Sniffing them doesn't work (or my sniffer is broken, maybe).
Thanks in advance.
