Funny, I though this lock-down stress was just because I'm new to hatching. Yet, as I read through it seems like everyone feels this way. I haven't posted much but really happy to read the posts, thanks.

Hi :) I'm new to hatching too, but even if I weren't I'd be a nervous wreck. I think the personality type has a lot to do with it. I'm pretty much like this in any situation that is different than "norm".

Yup, I am a born worrier.
I hatched some eggs earlier this year and drove myself nuts- - - I was done, never again. So here I am with twice as many eggs. I keep asking myself what made me do this going into winter! I think I'm hooked. I just hope some hatch. Everyone talks about moving eggs and hearing chirping and I am not seeing any of this. . . . so I am worrying.
Good luck!

Helllllooooooo lovely people. Oh my word I'm going to have to spend HOURS catching up on all the hatching drama. Here's my update :

5/5 from my backyard bunch
6/12 from my Super blues (shipped bunch) but one little guy didn't make it so I have 5

Soooo I'm running at 50% - which is verrrrrrrrry frustrating

Ummmmmm with regards to that being my last hatch ;) ummmmm I kind of went crazy on the PayPal swap and won 6 eggs (she sent me 9) so in the bator : 3 bantam olive eggers, 3 bantam welsummers and 3 Belgian d'anvers. I have 6 new German hampshires on the way!!!!

Aaaaaaannnnnnndddddd  when we were running around last weekend looking for goats, a lovely lady gave me 2 serama eggs (fresh from the nesting box) and 2 olive eggers - ha ha ha and then I filled the bator with backyard bunch :)

Brook I will update dates tomorrow

Hope you're all well :)

Waiting for my eggs to hatch is much faster than waiting on one of my mares to foal....I have gone a whole breeding season with no sleep when I have multiple foalings and then my neighbor wants me to watch her mares for her when she is at work!

I pulled the plugs. They were moving like jumping beans yesterday and now barely any wobbles at all (one of them hasn't moved at all today). Ugh, I totally don't like this incubating 'thing'...definitely need to find myself a broody hen.

Trust me, broody hens can be just as bad! Instead of humidity issues we have hens stealing the broodies nest while she's stretching her legs and smashing eggs, or they just give up and abandon the nest, and there's always the walking up to her nest only to find out she's rolled one of the eggs out by accident and it's gone stone cold! (And they always seem to injure/destroy the eggs days before hatching, go figure!)
I just had to spend a good half an hour shooing away one of our big hens away from the rabbit hutch our broody is in- mama bird was out having a stretch and a bite to eat, and this hen had fixated on her nest and refused to go anywhere else! I ended up having to lock up the hutch, wait for the mother to come back and then quickly open the hutch and chase off the other hen!
Of course, the stupid thing had already cracked one of the eggs...hopefully the melted candle wax method works! There was no blood or leaking, so I think the membrane is okay.....ugh, I should just give up on hatching eggs entirely! Its far too stressful!

I keep thinking 'just three more days, just three more days!' These chicks better be adorable when they hatch!
