YAY!!!! Any other pips?
ok had to get him out he was drying up after 45 mins of slowly peeling away shell he still couldnt get out so I peeled back membrane if not he was gonna die anyway no blood at all then he just popped out in my hand put back in bator so we shall see![]()
Just our luck...two boys and no other action on the remaining eggs here either. It is going to be a long night of checking for pips.Nothing on the others. I swear this one is a boy too. He already has a comb and came from a round egg.

I am copying from my answer to Fur N Feathers. Was this egg one with a wonky air cell? It could have pipped into the air cell if it was that low. Or the chick never turned around. I would go ahead and place it on it's side and watch the egg closely for continued movement. If nothing happens within a few hours then I would get some tweezers and gently start peeling the shell away. If you see blood STOP immediately and put it back in the bator. If there are no blood vessels left I would start zipping the egg for him. I had one that pipped the wrong end a couple of hatches ago and was told a little too late that I should have intervened. Sadly I lost that chick.Okay, I am needing advice. A SLW egg has externally pipped toward the bottom of the egg. The egg is upright in the carton. Should I take it out and lay it on it's side? This sucks.
