Setting Eggs Sept. 24th-Oct. 4th-Last Hatch of the Year. Anyone care to join me?

oh dear! I just went to get my broody from the garage and put her on the grass for her morning poop and scratch around and I didn't notice that one of the eggs was caught up under her and it dropped on the cement and broke open....yes there was a fully formed moving chick in there but I couldnt help it as the entire egg had smashed...it was a paint chick... :hit

Oh bless its little heart ....how sad.
