I have eggs coming on Monday(12eggs), Wed (5eggs). and Fri (39) next week. I want to put them in all in the same incubator on the same day. (would that be Sat.) I know people say they can hatch eggs up to 10 days old, what about eggs that are of diff ages all set the same day. I have heard older eggs will take longer to hatch. I know about moving the cartons. Is there anything else people want to mention?

According to my incubation book, you can lose up to 1% hatching chance per day storing, 6 days will not cause a significant difference, and she also says it could take 40 min. longer per day of storage.

Here are the monday eggs, they will go into a diff homemade incubator than the other eggs I have coming later in the week. I asked for 12 she sent 16 but 2 were crushed in mail. That is okay. I didn't get any egg mess on these they were clean no cracks. I am sitting upright in clean unused cartons room temp for 24 hrs, then they will go into the home made incubator and I will not turn 3 days. then hand turn. The home made incubator is parts from a yellow incubator from China. The bottom plastic tray, (which I am going to use for putting water in just like you would if you were running a yellow one. Then I have it sitting in the foam liner it came with. I have the egg turner tray just to keep eggs upright. On that I have a metal pan FOR HEAT ONLY NO WATER, so everyone stay calm. 15 w lamp, foam lid on that. then the whole thing went in the box it came in with a glass lid/door on top. (good for keeping in heat when I turn. I ran it for about 3 days, thermometers in all areas. keeping 102 just like a good still air should be.

here is a pic of the out side, I am using the little water hole at the bottom, to add water...
I know you wanted to look inside, don't worry lamp is not near water and the metal bowl is for heat shield only.

lamp inside touches nothing. I will also bring up the humidity before the eggs go in.
