Locked down yesterday about 4:30. Humidity holding pretty steady at 62%. Can't wait for Friday!!!!

Locked down last night, I might be a day early. Candled at around 11:00pm and many of them were pushing membrane up into the aircell.

Ended up Locking down 12... 11 from local and only 1 shipped.

First pip about 11am. Now we have another. We didn't set untill about 8 pm so it looks like we are right on schedule!

I have been following this thread all along but haven't posted before as I really wasn't expecting any good news. This is my second attempt under a broody (the first attempt failed completely) and of my 7 eggs I was pretty sure 4 were no good but the other 3 were so dark, I couldn't see a thing when I tried to candle them so have been quietly hoping.

Today is day 20. I just popped out to see my girls and could hear peeping!!!!!!! Blossom, my broody EE, wasn't sharing so I went to fetch some grapes as bribery and she came off the nest.... broken egg shell but no chick.... still hearing peeping. After a little search I found her, behind the nest box. SOOOOO cute and fluffy - A Partridge Penedesenca with dark markings which should indicate a girl, apparently. Is now back under "Mum" with the other eggs.

Will get pics but finding it difficult enough to type this, my hands are shaking so much with excitement - holding the camera is a whole other challenge.

Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah!!

Will keep watching this thread and am rooting for you all to have successful hatches - might yet have some more good news too!
