Setting eggs today...20th May...anyone else?

Lol...I wouldn't know what to do with 25 more chicks, but think I'm safe...I'd hope for a dozen...

Yes! A new hatch date! lol...

Fingers & toes crossed Loopy12.

Oooo...does that mean you'll join me to hatch along with me again, Ashem?
I just set mine a couple of hours ago...but will be radio silence until day 17 because of being away...
It is very, very addictive...
I leave for Florida in just over an hour...must get my backside in gear! Not finished packing or anything!

Eggs Alaskan

. My husband just happens to be working in the same area as this property I came across on the net last night - so hopefully he's going to swing by and pick them up for me on his way home. I wanted to do the Marans again but Terry has a huge waiting list, so in the mean time I will do some Araucana's & a couple of Barnvelders.

Sounds like your already gone Loopy12. Back just in time for lock-down, if I remember rightly. Enjoy Florida.

Have set 4 Araucana's this evening. Thinking back on the last dismal hatch rate I reckon too much humidity was my undoing, so am trying to keep it low. I cannot do a dry hatch because humidity is too low here at this time of year... < 25% so have added a tiny amt of water aiming for 25-35% this time.

Yes I think they are Alaskan. I'm led to believe they are a mix of colours though. It's a shame I couldn't get more from him but I really just wanted to get whatever he had while my husband was working nearby - he picked them up for me so they didn't need to be posted. They are tiny eggs! Cannot imagine how small the chicks will be. But a very sweet blue colour. I'm hoping that eventually I could try mixing whatever I get with my one Marans chickie (who is going strong by the way) and maybe get Olive eggers.

So far bator is holding 38.5 degrees and 25% humidity.

How are your chicks coming along?
