Setting eggs today 5-3-12...anyone with me?

Update: 3 chicks form 5 eggs. This has come from the hen which went into broody and was sitting on 5 eggs of hers. I must say its ml very comforting to see a nice hatch....I have 4 more due via incubator in 4-6 days so will update u on that too....wishing us all luck

So now the chicken has gone to 4 out of 5 from the the previously mentioned 3 chicks. 4 more are due in 2-3 days time. Lets see.

May-June-July...I now have chicks running out of my ears. It is so much fun and yes, adicting. All I want to do is hatch, hatch, hatch. All have been Buffs, Amer, or Doms so far from my own stock. Think I will hold off for a while and try a shipment of a new breeed. (new to me) What is a good breed for grandchildren to raise and turn into pets?
