Congrats alaina and keep waiting one of the chicks I hatched this week pipped in early morning and didn't come out til 10:00 at night. Although I have 3 left that seem to be tapping (I'm assuming at membrane) but I see no movement and they are overdue 2 days now, I am giving them few more days. I hate to just give up on them.

Happyfarmlady I am crossing my fingers for you!!

will take pics as soon as they fluff out more, look alittle like drowned rats some of them. More are still pipping, tho the one that started 24 hours ago has not progressed that I can see. My DH swears he sees movement tho.... we will see. Got 8 little fuzzy butts so far, the first one is HUGE, never seen such a large newly hatched chick!! Thanks everyone for your support!!

Total count was:

hatched 14 chicks

4 chicks helped out at the end

3 chicks have died, 2 more are iffy, 13 are strong, healthy, eating and drinking

Out of 44 eggs I started with.

Thanks everyone for your support. I have already started a new load of guinea eggs, to add chicken eggs in 5 more days. @ happyfarmlady and destin, have you had any hatches????

I am a little concerned. The duck is fully out of shell now but there is a yellow/white thing still attached to belly. I am thinking the yolk sac and wondering if it will be ok since it's not fully absorbed. It's also shivering and I don't remember my chick shivering.
