setting eggs today, anyone want to join me??

So I am setting a bunch of purchased eggs today, from 3 different farms, one in CA, one in GA, and one in KY (I went to pick those up yesterday) I have a total of 44 eggs, will be putting a few under a broody hen since there are only 41 spots in the bator. I will (god willing) be hatching some olive egger ameracaunas, blue and blue splash marans and lavendar orpingtons.

29 are due to hatch in 20 days and the rest are due to hatch in 21 hopefully I will keep my fingers crossed for all of us.

setting 41 eggs today Black copper marans and Cuckoo marans eggs. Not having luck with the BCM eggs Could be my cheap LG incubator. Been lucky to get 1/2 to hatch A lot of quitters and not fertile.

I am using an LG as well and I have had good hatch rates thus far. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will continue but the humidity here has skyrocketed so I am hoping it doesn't do the same to my incubator.

I just got a hova bator 1588 pre-set. And was having heck of a time controlling humidity. I think I got it now and hope it stays and I get some duckies! I want chocolate calls so bad! Good Luck to all.

Me too!! I put 22 in last night. 2 were broken on arrival.

THen I had to throw one out this morning because it REALLY stunk.

I also am trying my new HovaBator 1588 for the first time. I dont have a way to check the humidity, though. Might have to look into that! I am trying the dry incubation again.

Does anyone candle their eggs? I havent' tried this yet either.....

I am going to candle mine on day 7. I have done cockatiel eggs a long time ago I don't think it will be much different and these eggs are bigger so may be a little easier to see something. I can't wait to candle them so I can see if their doing something. LOL
