setting eggs today, anyone want to join me??

Does anyone know how big of a hole to cut in the bottoms of the syrofoam egg cartons to put the eggs in at lockdown? And I was thinking of going to lock down on day 19 instead of day 18 d/t the fact that humidity has been so high here with this hatch, has not gotten below 40% the whole time, and mostly in the 50's. Supposed to start lockdown Monday eve.

7/9 have hatched so far and one more has a pip. This is so exciting. Babies are tumbling out from mama everywhere!

I think the one with the pip is dead. It's been hours and hours so I took it out from under mom for a look. His beak is out but I don't see him moving at all, not even when I tapped on his beak.

I think once this rain shower passes I'll go out and break him out enough to see if he's alive or not.

I don't see anything at all going on with the last EE egg. I guess 7/9 isn't bad.

Tiss: I just got back from camping weekend and saw your babies. Congrats on your little fuzzy butts. They are so cute!!

I candled when I got home and see movement in 24 eggs and 1 that looks like it may be quitter. I will left it in and will check again before lockdown on friday. I hope friday comes fast I am getting so impatient!! I want little fuzzy butts!
