I'm setting my first batch of eggs ever. I have the Genesis 1588 with automatic egg turner.
I've set 13 eggs...
My roo is a cuckoo marans.
The eggs are a little bit of a combo of everything... EEs, buff rocks, other cuckoo marans, etc.
I can't wait to see what I get!!!

I'll join!
Im a first times too!
I set 12 eggs on the 31st and will be setting 14= on Wed or THurs.

THe 12 eggs are
5 duccles
4seramas
2 b cochin
1 st cochin

and the 14+ are
Roos: EE, game?, WFBS, white silkie
Hens:
BO, EE,RIR, mix, lots of silkies, leghorn, and some more

I set 13 eggs today and 7 turkey eggs the day before and have some due soon to hatch so I'm in with you both and I don't know how many times I've hatched eggs but it is an addiction and I'm at it again

Those sound like great combos!
Turkeys would be fun. I've never had a turkey before.
What kind of incubators do you guys have?

I have a 39.00 China special that works like a dream but you do have to turn the eggs and I added windows because I have to see.. and a Turn-X for 18 eggs that does everything you just add water and wait. They are both easy to clean hold the temperature good but the Turn-X is better when it gets cold in my house (65) the China special goes into an insulated box I made for it as it has no adjustments for heat.

Turkeys are better than chickens but they take more room I love my turkey gangstas very entertaining

So here's my set-up. Notice anything amiss?

my incubator. I spread out my eggs.

I'm keeping the incubator in our den, away from the windows and out of direct sunlight.

Well I hope you don't have cats or dogs that come in the house or children that incubator is just begging to fall of that chair......I keep mine in a room that I can keep the door closed my dogs just love checking out the peeps....

I hear ya. I do not have any inside pets. I do, however, have kids, but they are uninterested in messing with it. I'm going to try and maybe find a small table or something. I wanted it low so that the kids could look in without touching it. It's kind of wedged against the wall for stability.
I keep going over and looking at the eggs eventhough I know they aren't going to do anything anytime soon. I feel an addiction coming on...

I have a little giant styrofom, 6200. And i have to turn my eggs.

Here are 14 of the eggs i am going to set in a few days plus some more as i collect.
