Setting eggs tomorrow, anyone want to join?

Uhg, that sucks!! What kind of bator are you using? Did you try to candle them to see if they are alive?

Forced air, so the temp would have been 105 throughout. I did and I still can't see much, just a shadow and the air pocket. I'm not going to give up on them yet. I'll give them a few more days to see if I can spot any veining or not. I hope they didn't cook

I think some of those pics look like clear infertile eggs to me. especially at this date. But I would leave them in and do them again, and hope you see some veins soon.

I candled a few more of mine last night and tossed one more as it looked like the yolk was jumbled like a cloud shape and was moving around quite loosely when I rotated the egg, no veining, didn't look right. Sadly I think it was one of my Wyandotte eggs.

shadow again... The shadows seem to get larger though as we go, but most of them shift all over the egg. A few are stationary ish and won't move that far.
You guys are for real helping me through this

I am pretty sure they are infertile. My lone Leghorn egg looks just like that. I see NO veining, just the yolk shadow. Unless it starts to smell, leave it in the bator until lockdown day. I'm leaving all of mine in there til lockdown unless they start to smell.

I had a temp spike last week, up to 110 degrees, but I was really lucky to be home and it was during the day so I was able to catch it quickly. I have noticed since I moved the bator from the dining room to the bathroom that my temps are much more stable and regular, always between 99 and 101. Sucks but I think most of my Austrolorps are not doing anything. I think I'm going to beg my husband to put together my supply for my homemade bator this weekend and get more eggs and just do another hatch...

This morning I found that the temp had spiked last night at some unknown time. I have no idea for how long...

Chances are good that the eggs are cooked, but I'm going to give them more time anyway...Just in case...

I had a spike of 106 in my last hatch. I totally freaked. It was a still air bator though. My hatch ended up starting late despite the spike though I did have some late "quitters" who seemed fully developed and moving right until the end. When I opened the egg there was a fully developed chick, but still lots of egg white around it. I did have to help out two who didn't even pip, but were cheeping and scratching in their eggs. Anyhow, who knows why that happened.

This is my lone Leghorn egg...looks just like yours. I was told it IS possible the embryo is hiding, BUT, since I see no veining, I am not counting on it.

Are you using a Little Giant? What do you have your humidity at?

This is what we should be seeing in the eggs that we CAN see into. This egg is yesterday morning, Day 7. I candled last night too, and the embryos were double the size what they were in this pic. And even bigger this morning. By day 18 They should take up about 3/4 + of the egg.
