Setting eggs tomorrow, anyone want to join?

Well yesterday all my eggs looked like that, but this morning that one had a spot and some veins...so I'm going to keep on hoping, and you should too. I'm using a crapy flashlight I found in the car...So imma blame it on that...Lol. It's funny but the one with the veining is one of my darker brown eggs and I can see it...I also worry there is nothing in any of my other eggs, but yesterday I was just as worried about the egg that I saw something in this morning..so don't give up yet and I won't either...
On a happy note I got some fully feathered chicks and their mom in september and at least 2 of the pullets are laying...there are 4 total...I found a tiny egg at the end of the ramp last night, but today I figured I would keep them in, and I already stopped collecting the eggs, so the newbies would know where to leave them...but when I came down from the coop today there were 2 pullets on the nests, and one was burying herself in straw...none of my other chickens do that..they go in get settled, lay and leave...this one little chick was getting into it...She was wearing a straw blanket...was super cute. She also let me get near her, where usually they run. It's funny, but the only chicken I have that is still wary of me is the mama to the chicks. All the chicks don't want me to touch them, but they don't mind to walk between my feet and such. I guess they aren't chicks anymore. Lol. It just sux, because I don't really like small birds, and now most of my adult flock is small birds...I like y big 73 gram buff orpington eggs, and she just started laying last month...Yay for more eggs! I guess I could try to not hatch any of the small eggs, because they would have to end up being smallish chickens...then again the roo is a really big White Rock, so perhaps each generation could get a little bigger and a little bigger until I have nothing but large fowl. blah blah blah here I am just rambling on and on...sorry..
Don't give up on your eggs. I believe in them.

This is why I will keep every last one til day 18.

I am truly amazed when I watch them. My LED light is just the right temp (I put a thermometer on it for 5 minutes and it warmed up to the same temp as the bator) so I set m my little D'Uccle eggs on the light, cup them with my hands and watch them swim and wiggle! I LOVE IT! I wish I could get a good video. Maybe tonight I will set up the web cam to try to record it...the coolest thing in the world is watching those tiny little babies move around! AND, the D'Uccle I thought was no longer moving, is indeed moving around, ALOT

That's good. I figure I will leave any that I'm unsure about until lockdown as well. It just makes sense. Especially when yesterday they were all clear and today that one wasn't anymore. It still seems behind everyone else's candlings though. Could it be the flashlight, or is something wrong with them as well? Ah well...enough worrying. If it's supposed to be they will be. The temps are all good...so I'm going to let it go.

I'm going to try to get some pics of the eggs I candle tonight... see what you guys think of their chances

I probably will keep them all until day 18 anyway, though I'm starting to wonder if just starting over would be better... The temp in the bator spiked because the door was left closed overnight when I usually leave it open. They were keeping a fairly steady temp of 100-101 before that. Well, we'll see. No use getting freaked out until after I candle.

My plan was to toss these, and start over, but after seeing veins in one, I'm happy to wait...I've not been collecting the eggs from the coop either...so perhaps someone up there will want to set on them in case this doesn't work out.

Wouldn't it be amazing if one of them set and you had two batches within weeks of each other?

Yes I always talk to my eggs. And my bator is right beside my computer desk. I am satisfied that all mine are fertile and growing, so I am going to keep hands off now till day 18 when I take them out of the turner. Still air 99 at bottom 101 at top humidity 36%. Got to remember to pick up sponges this weekend!

This was one of my Olive Eggers from my last hatch. Day 8.
yeah, I have a spot and a blob...that is amazing...makes me wonder if my day 8 is actually day 8...Lol. Mine looks nothing like that. I can't really see any clear veins, just a few squiggles I am assuming are veins.
