Setting eggs tomorrow, anyone want to join?

My 2 previous hatches went from standing in a turner to laying down at lockdown. First hatch I got 8 out of 12 hatched all lived, second hatch was 11 out of 12 hatched, ALL lived. So I will be taking mine out and laying them. Getting ready to go to lockdown and get the sponges wet!

Geeeezzz...now I wonder if I should have taken them out of the cartons...it's probably too late now though.

Had our Easter egg hunt this morning. The chickens were finding the plastic eggs and pecking at them.....lol
Filled up my water troughs and soaked 3 sponges, got humidity up to 68%. All the eggs were full of growing chicks. Air sacs were a little smaller than I would like though. We will see what hatches!

I've been watching my eggs for any slight wiggling. It's much harder to see into this incubator though, not seeing any movement. Still have them in cartons, but I will sacrifice a few more cartons and cut them down lower and do a quick swap today before anything tries to pip. My humidity is quite high actually. I filled the channels with water and added to sponge cloths yesterday (which already look dried out) but my humidity is average about 70% which is a touch high for my liking.

I HAVE A PIP!!!

2 days early!!

Yeahhhhhhh. So excited for you. Me on the other hand I am a nervous nellie. I put my eggs in cut down cartons to hatch and removed ALL my water. I hadent been keeping track of my air cells and they are very small. About the size of 7-14 days. My humidity had been running 30-40 all this time. So I am going to drop it today and see if I can get air cells a tad larger! Lord I am so worried!

I had that problem with my last hatch right closer to lock down. I reduced humidity and noticed they all got bigger quite fast.

My pipped egg is an Olive egger :) can't see any others pipped yet but I'm going to try and have a better look. Could have sworn I heard some peeping sounds too, but it's hard to hear over the fan noise.

You're so lucky...I just checked mine and no pips yet, but I *think* I saw two move a little...not sure I will really see any rocking while in the carton, will I?? I keep talking to them telling them it's time to start coming out!! UHG, the wait is killing me!!!!!! I'm at 65% humidity now, with 2 jar lids and sponges and a jar full of water and a sponge and a wet wash cloth.

We took our 4 year old to a place called Liberty Ridge farms, they had a breakfast with the Easter Bunny and a egg hunt. She had a good time and breakfast was so yummy! I couldn't stop thinking about the eggs the WHOLE time we were there though!

Its been a couple of hours, both vents open, all water gone and cant get humidity below 40%! At least I have them upright to give them a better chance! I candled one when I did the quick switch and no pipping into air cell yet, still have good movement, so there is hope!
