Nice to hear from you, Layna.Have you been busy doing all that schoolwork and chores that you got behind on during your last hatch??? Or, are you just playing with those little fluffballs? They are about a week old now. I bet they've been spoiled by your family.![]()

One of the little Easter Eggers was making a very pitiful looking (yet very determined) attempt to fly out of the brooder this morning. He got about 5 inches off the ground.
There were 50 at first... then I walked out and saw my Barnevelder laying an egg on "FrankenFan" (Our big, broken industrial fan in the lean to shed) with only half of her bottom actually on the fan. I saw the egg get colored and then caught it before it hit the ground. I figured that little guy really wanted to make it, so I put him in the incubator. =P
CALI Where are you? I bet your starring at the incubator. I need an update!!!
Layna I set eggs this morning too!!! Guess we are hatch buddies again!

How exciting!! My first to hatchling took like one minute from second pip to complete hatch. He was an eager little thing! Has yours hatched yet?? I want a pic!One of the "pipped" eggs is starting to zip. We see the shell lift up now and then. And there are new cracks! Wow-this is so cool!![]()
