I had one that had pipped the air cell at the lockdown candle and it had not pipped the next day so I candled and it was not moving so I chipped away some shell on the air cell end and it was to late. The chick had passed. you might want to think about making a pip yourself so it can get air before it runs out. I wish I had.

Hmmm...Now on day 23...stuck in same situation...maybe hdowden will come on and tell us how to find an internal pip...I definately don't know what to do here...still no pips or chirps. haven't heard a thing. I have some chicks I bought at auction, and I even considered slipping one in to help show the others what to do lol.

i re candled and now have 2 more internal pips and i even heard peeping out of one

when looking for internal pips (including on odd shaped air cells): when candling be fast about it as well and thorough. look for the beak of the chick sticking straight up or a shadow and you should also see movement in the actual air cell itself. when you candle before internal pip take notice that there is not a shadow of any kind in the air cell before lock down. once the chick has piped the air cell, like i said above, you will see either the chicks beak next to the shell or a shadow both of which, if chick is alive, should be moving.

if these eggs were just mine and i didnt mind the possable lose of one i would try and record or take pics of the four but since these mean so much i will not do that with these sorry (i'm sure you all understand

I'm in lockdown, everyone. We candled and marked aircells and saw movement in ALL 10!

Here's a picture of the HovaBator I'm using to hatch them in. It seems to hold the temperature much better than the Brower.

Wish me luck for a good hatch on Friday.
