Setting eggs week of 10/1

So far so good! My humidity is only about 40% right now tho but was just doing some reading and I think thats gonna be ok... Im gathering another batch of eggs this week for the other bator! Hows everyone else doing.... I finially found something that measures humidity at Lowes tonight, makes me feel better!

Actually starting yesterday I have been having some problems with my Humididty. I opened both plugs and it keeps going up to 60% I even opened the incubator a couple of times time let out some Humididty but it just goes right back up again.

Oh shoot! What is the temp n humidity where u have ur incubator? I noticed mine fluctuates just a little depending on my house. I really dont know much but just throwin ideas lol. Are u able to take some water out of the bator?

Hi there!
We will be starting to gather eggs today! May I join in !?
Setting them Sunday the 7th, gathering another 5 days and setting the following friday... Testing two different incubators?
This will honestly be my very first hatch! Im so stinkin excited! Lol. So much to learn, ill probably need lots of advise..... Ive had chickens awhile but have yet to hatch any out.
Im starting with my Barred Rocks, 5 nice hens that I raised from chicks and my roo "Rocky"!
Hi HSC,

I too am new to this, and am only 11 weeks in. I am so thankful for this website, it helped me to kick the Facebook habit! lol. I had ordered 10 females from Meyer, but a Roo snuck into the box before shipping and so now I have 10 lovely pullets and one emerging Columbian Wyandotte Roo who can stay as long as he stays polite. With his precense, I now find myself fascinated with reading and following everyone who now hatches! I won't even think about doing such a thing until next year, if even, so I am going to follow along with you all and watch if that is ok. Good luck with all your hatches, and thanks for letting me tag along!

Can you post some pics of your hens and Rocky?

Good Luck all!

Candled today and have 23 of my 24 looking like something is going on. I will keep the one in the bator and see what it's doing on day 14. How about the rest of you did you candle yet?
