Setting Exciting eggs April 22nd, Anybody with me?

Well Happy Day 21 to all of us who set our eggs on the 22nd of April! This morning when I went in to work (which is where my eggs are for those of you who didn't know) there was one chick out and a whole lot of pips! By the time I left we had 7 hatch and there are at least 6 more pips. We have a Plymouth Rock chick, a Silver Laced Wyandotte, a couple of EE's and a few that I couldn't identify yet as they were still wet. Will post images tomorrow because I had to borrow a camera to take the pics and I gave it back to my friend. Hope all of yours is going well also.

Thanks for the update!

My last batch of BLRW eggs started hatching on day 21 and ended 31 hours later with my low pip/ upsidedown miracle baby

It just seems like forever when your waiting for that first pip!

Oh, can you tell me how long you let your shipped eggs rest before you put them in the incubator? Can't wait until tomorrow to hear how your eggs are progressing!!

Nope today is 21. 22nd through the 30th is 9 days and May 1st through the 12th is 12 more. 9 + 12=21. I guess it does depend on the time when you place your eggs if you count the 22nd. We put ours in at 8am so then we count that as day 1. I think if you put them in late at night then the 23rd would be day one.

ok, i set them at noon, so i counted the next day at noon as 1, etc...

so I just had to break lockdown to get out an oozing egg, and I was worried that I haven't gotten any pips yet. Well I go out to the trash to toss the eggs, come back and make sure the humidity is coming back up ok, and I have a pip! I mush have woken the baby up when I opened the incubator
