Setting first batch for 2010 today(2/14),anyone else ?

but one looks like it might be a double so am dubious about it but
they were expensive so will give it a shot

WEll, had to fire up the 2nd sportsman incubator. I will be setting another 100+ eggs tonight. Hope everyones hatches are going well. Christie

My silkie eggs are developing great, as are the red sussex and cochins. None of the cornish or mutts developed. So, looks like we are looking at around 15 silkies, 3 red sussex, and 3 giant cochin eggs (from our farm!)

Lock down this week... get those brooders ready!

Set 2/14/ Hatch 03/07 update. I've been busy working in the yard went back in after 4 hours and found the temp at 102.5*F on top of the eggs. I'm using a still-air bator. The temp at the base of the bator is 98.9*F. Hopefully the embryos are developing nicely.
