Setting first eggs tomorrow - 3/23

Took 2 more out last night. They were already 'iffy' ones from the other night. I think I have 32 out of 42 left, the majority being shipped eggs. The rest look good though. Hope they make it to lockdown!! This is the last batch in the LG still air, then I will retire it and use it only for a hatcher. My Genesis is waiting and ready! I'll be setting more eggs this coming Saturday. I still have another incubator going with about 40 quail eggs and also I stuck 4 frizzle eggs in there. Those are what's left after candling last night. Only had to toss a few. Due date for the quail is the 14th! I'm gonna have sooooo many babies in the house!
Anyway, just checking in with everyone. Lockdown is Tuesday for me.

Glad to hear everything is going well! I candled in the turner last night and some of them were so easy to see and moving so much! Amazing. Lockdown Tuesday for us, too. Can't believe we're so close already.

It feels like forever until Tuesday!! I think I'm gonna go insane waiting. OMG I can't wait to see what colors hatch out. The Marans eggs came from Black Coppers and the lady also had some Blue Splashes. I hope I get some blues. That would be awesome. The rest are a barnyard mix. lol I think I'm more excited about those than the Marans!

I'm really excited about our barnyard mixes, too! I have absolutely no idea what kind of babies are going to come out! There were so many hens and roos in the flock we got them from. It will be really fun to compare our chicks that hatch out

Wow! You could have anything in there. My eggs are also half mystery. I know they are all fathered by a Marans rooster. But there's a black and a blue, but the hens were all different kinds. I've had to toss 5/24 so that's not bad at all...maybe 6/24. I've started candling less often and haven't actually counted. I can remember if I tossed 4 or 5 eggs the other day, and one tonight...either way all the remaining eggs are looking good. The air cells look good. They have goo movement...I can see them kick their legs so that's pretty cool...looks like most of us will be in lockdown together! That's so cool. We all have have have to post pictures! I don't know about you guys but I am so eggcited! Just kidding I know you guys are too...lol hopefully in 5 or 6 days we all have some cute little freshly hatched chicks.

Hey guys! I just did my day 14 candle last night, all of them look good except for 1 that I think I'm going to have to toss. I'm a little concerned that some of them seem to be not as far along as others...but I guess there is nothing that I can do about that now.
Lockdown is Thursday night for me. So excited!
