setting hens

I need help with my setting hen. She is in a coop with 14 other chickens and all the other hens want to lay eggs in her nest with her fertile eggs. She leaves and goes to another nest. Should I seperate her from the other chickens or leave her in the hen house. How long can the eggs be left? Thanks.

Yes you should either seperate her, or fence her in so others can not get in with her. She should be allowed off the nest a couple times a day, most will only leave long enough to eat/drink/poop then back on the nest. However often they will return to whichever nest is Open at the time, so best that she only has one option to choose from, or you need to be out there to ensure that she returns to the right nest.
