Setting on Good Friday

Kids woke me up this morning because we had a quail hatch. In the time it took me to get out of bed and to the kitchen, which wasn't long, there was a baby duck also.

When I got up this morning there were 7 more chicks

....11 total, so far, with 2 more partially zipped!

Here's what I have going on this morning. Of the 7 eggs that went into lockdown, only one hasn't pipped or hatched yet and there's still plenty of time for that to happen. One chick had a particularly rough hatch and I intervened. What can I say? I just couldn't stand it any more. He's resting a lot and is slow to get moving around, but I'm hopeful he'll perk up.

Guess for a first hatch I didn't do too bad...out of the 15 that made it to lockdown I have 9 out and 2 more rockin a few I still see nothing but who knows what overnight will bring!?!?!?

Sorry, I've read it after I already took the first 4 out.
We now have 23 in the brooder. Did not update the photo album yet.
There is one in the incubator right now that would probably not make it to the morning - https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4053774#p4053774 - I posted my question here.
Not sure for how long more I will wait... the person who is going to rent this incubator after us, already has her duck eggs and a goose egg on hand - not sure for how long she can wait.
I wish we had 25 healthy chicks - this is my favorite number

Ok need advice my hen left her eggs after she hatched 2 chicks she is being a very good mom to them. So i put the 4 eggs in the bator and they are alive and moving but i dont know if she layed this later then the other 2 chicks that hatched i am assume so. The problem is i have other eggs in there that require turning has anyone done a stagered hatch in the same bator?> How does that work when you still have to turn eggs? You have to lift the lid i have like 50 eggs in my hovabator. Any help would be great>

Well the incubator stinks now and needs a good cleaning. But with 22 going into lock down and coming out with 16 I think I did good for a first hatch.

i turned them by hand and i moved as many to the other bator as i could so we shall see when i was turning and moved some i droped a egg ughhhhhhhhhhhh

so i had to put candle wax on it uggg not my better moment. I hope they can go from hand turning to egg turner and not be all jacked up.
