out of 5 eggs only one hatched ,But it sure is a fighter to live through a bulb blowing out , daughter tripping and hitting the incubator and cracking every egg . It is going to be one loved chick

Early pip tonight. The incubator says we have 2 days to go, but I know it'll change over around midnight to one day. Still, odd to see one pip so early. I'm used to seeing them on day 1 and 0. Kind of cool to see that.

If there's good news, the house humidity is at 51% because we've finally got rain! After having humidity ranges below 15%, it's good to finally have some moisture. Should put an end to our late fire season.

great job everyone!

I had a few come out this am, kind of early, some were in poor positions and had to be helped. Tonight, however, I've had several really good and strong chicks hatch.

As for the weak ones, I'm not breeding, so any chick that makes it counts for us!

I have managed to convince more than three of my friends to start out with chickens, so I need pullets to give them!

This never does get old... as nerve-wracking and stressful as it is, it never gets old.

, one more pipped, and three just hanging out waiting. (discarded one of the initial dozen - not fertile)
