I'm looking into a GQF sportsmen incubator and they say about setting trays and I was wondering what the purpose of them are and if their worth the cost.

If you are hatching regular eggs, chicks, quail, turkey, etc just use the plastic trays(48 hole for chicken) designed for the eggs you are setting. Some people might want to lay their eggs flat or have big emu type eggs etc and would use it. I have incubated 1000's and I never use this tray----I built my first 2 cabinets but bought a used cabinet later and it had these trays---I removed them and bought the 6pack of the plastic egg racks to use instead. I have No need for that tray----I guess some could make a wire cover for the top and use it as a hatcher tray?I'm looking into a GQF sportsmen incubator and they say about setting trays and I was wondering what the purpose of them are and if their worth the cost.
