Hi all,

Just getting the finishing touches put on my coop in Alameda, CA. The chicks I got back in May are nearly ready to move out of the basement, and into the Coop D'Jour. This is our second flock, our friends adopted the last bunch when we moved. This time around, I wanted some heritage breed chickens. First round, beautiful cochin bantams- turned out to be roosters. They found new families as our town won't allow them. Second time around? A Silkie bantam, a Mille Fleur d'Uccles and a Black Copper Maran. The Maran started crowing on Monday...he will be moving to a new home soon.

Been lurking around BYC for a few years, finally made it official today!
