Ok, those who know how this is done, let me know if I got it right. This year I separate the two groups.. those with the even feathers to the male side, those with the unever layers to the female side. Once it become evident which are males & females, I sell the females with the even layers of wing feathers, and butcher the roosters that came up with uneven wing feathers. Are the offspring, then, wing feather sex-able? Is it that easy? What about the next generation? I assume as some point it wouldn't work... or all chicks could be wing sexed.
