setting up teething problems

Thank you so much everyone! sorry for the late response.. Had no connectivity

@liz9910 Thanks for the link!

@Kelsie2290 thanks for clearing DE! That's a big relief! Since we have some materials left from our recent resort construction I hope to use that first and get whatever I don't have. The rooster is only so my daughter can experience birth cycle and well I can't resist how cute the chicks are! She is growing to be an animal lover and I would like to help in anyway I can.

At our 6000ft in the Himalayas we (my husband & my 2 and half year daughter included!) are opening a small resort this January and want to keep the chickens there for fresh eggs. Just wondering if they will get too noisy for the resort?.
The highest motorable road in our area is at 10500 ft (although there are higher places one can trek to) which stays white from oct to march. In terms of vegetation we mostly have blue pine and oak forests. Apples, apricots, peaches, pears grow along with walnut, sunflower, wheat, corn etc... Most cold weather vegetables are also grown in the area (mostly during summer) but there are no large fields and farming is still done the old way with no modern equipment.

Others than leapods & fox and other wild animals, we also have local cats and dogs, including my 3 dogs that my future chickens would need protection from..

Our closest small town/ big village is 10 km where there is a small market and I am sure I will find some of the basic fencing materials there as I have seen it around our village..

I plan to visit the chicken farmer soon and hope to work out the feed problem but you are right - the chickens are almost wild and they generally only give dried corns!
