I was going to post a video but it’s too large- he was crowing this morning and when he stopped there was residual noise like maybe he has fluid in his lungs. He’s still a bit shaky and doesn’t want to be held today. Trying to decide if we should give him penicillin or if it would be kinder to send him to meet his girls.

I wouldn't do him in unless you see clear evidence that his health is not improving and that he is suffering.

I bought penicillin and syringes and some stuff for chickens respiratory health- I will try, thankfully it’s going to warm up a bit this week.

...concerned me too until I learned that it's pretty normal.

I would do the craigslist thing. Just did a quick Maine search, looks to be be quite a few, but I’m not sure distances etc. I found a flock of buff Cochin’s if I was closer I would now own! Find your boy some girls!

I bought penicillin and syringes and some stuff for chickens respiratory health- I will try, thankfully it’s going to warm up a bit this week.

The vet/rx works well for clearing up that sort of thing

I have to get an actual weight on him but the bottle says 1ml/100lbs. I got .5ml syringes that go by 1/10 mls. How long should he take it? 10 days?

I just looked- only 4 are girls and they’re bantams. Saw some in skowhegan that he had 60- messaged to see if he’d sell 8. Next to check with Aaron.
