My seven week old showgirl chick has a growth under her rectum and one on the top of my head. I have never seen this before. The one under herrectum as large about the size of a quarter and the one on her head is smaller. She always had a really domed head and I thought that it was just because she was a showgirl but it’s actually squishy.I have no idea what this is! A tumor is my best guess. It is squishy not hard .She seems to get cold easier than the other chicks we bring her in at night and put her in the room with the heater instead of in the coop with her siblings. How do I treat it ?or what do I do ?she seems to be healthy and eating just fine.
Thank you in advance:)

Tumors would be hard, not squishy. Your chick may have fowl pox. If you have a lot of mosquitoes, that's a good guess. The pox needs to run its course, taking around two weeks.

If it's a bad case, it could threaten her ability to eat and breathe, so watch for signs that it's choking her air, and you may need to remove scabs to let her breathe. Check her throat frequently as the lesions may spread to inside.

Thank you for your replies.I have no experience with foul pox.I will do some research on it. We did have a way hotter summer than normal and mosquitoes are really bad. Hopefully that’s what it is and it will go away in a couple of weeks. She does have a really vaulted head but she also has a bump on it that is squishy,it’s so strange it’s something I have never had to deal with before.I think that is a way better diagnosis than a tumor! Thank you :)
