if they were really smelly, then either that was alot of bucks(males) or the cages werent cleaned often.
I have lots of mice and they dont smell badly.
Bucks do tend to be smelly, but as long as the cage is cleaned weekly, the smell is kept down.
Mice make greats pet,but alot of people dont realize that.
