Several Questions on Quail

Big enough for them to get in and turn around, though mine all seem to lay at the same time. So you could just keep a dust pan in there, I'm sure they'd use that.

my quail (coturnix) stay on starter and i see no consitpation

I guess it depends on what kind you use ive never seen a constipated quail except a chick that had poo stuck to its feathers that caused it's vent to shut but that was fixed with warm water on the bum

I would pay good money for about 3 seconds of constipation.
That would give me a good 6 seconds to duck and cover.
If there is one space in the pen you never thought you would see poop...It's probably there....Check the ceiling. There is probably tire marks there.

(coturnix) roos have a very loud voice that can travel several hundred yards.
I hear mine when I'm about 1/4 mile away walking my dog, but I know what it sounds like.
My roos start crowing between 4 and 6 weeks, hens start to lay between 5.5 weeks and 6 weeks. Full egg laying production (1 egg a day) starts about 7 weeks. I think this is natural development, and can not trace this to feed related issues, but I'm looking for a link.
If you are raising MEAT birds, then there could be an issue with protein, but 20%+ from start to finish or (infinity) should be fine....IHO.

That's just me!
