Severe beak deformity

This is our little easter egger named Cloud. The bottom of Cloud's beak was slightly off-center a few days after she hatched and it's been getting worse and worse as time goes on. Has anyone dealt with this before? Will she be able to survive or could this kill her? She seems to be eating alright although she's a bit small for 2 months old; even for a bantam.

This is a problem about one in a hundred ee's are born with , it might survive. Might not. Sorry about your little one

I had a cross beak too. If she learns to eat on her own she'll be fine. She will live a long and happy life! Here's a photo of my boy Elwood. He did just fine for years!

Crossbeak does tend to get worse as they grow, but slight trimming and filing the beak can be done to help beak alignment. Feeding crumbles or wet feed from a tall sided bowl may be helpful to get enough food. A nipple waterer in addition to regular ones might help it to get enough water. Here is a good article about it:
