I had a chicken with a severe underbeak and it was noticeably thinner than the others! I tried separating it and hand feeding but didnt seem to do the trick. Eventually I tried cut off the lower part of its beak but sadly it started bleeding. It wasnt too bad luckily and i stopped it but it hasnt done the trick. I am hoping that is will just stop the lower beak growing for now but does anyone have any recommendations?

You can try providing moistened feed in a deep dish. Depending on the severity of the cross beak some birds can maintain quality of life, but some can not.
agreed. how old is your chicken? depending on how much time it has left to grow and for you determine the quality of life, you may want to put it down.

Its quality of life is not low at all and it can feed averagely well by itself. So I will leave it and hopefully it will be ok. Thanks for your help!
