severe weather should chickens be put away

News said it's going to be like this for the next 7 days. Doesn't watering the floor of the barn make it to humid? I was tempted to hose off roof and floor of the leanto the chicks are in.
The Weather Channel is giving 104 tomorrow. As far as watering the barn dirt floor goes it didn't seem to be very humid and made it cooler than before. The flock spent most of the day inside laying in the cool dirt and dirt bathing. Our barn has six double doors and I open them all to get the best air flow throughout. They just now came outside for the evening before roost time. I hung them out a head of ice cold cabbage!

I would be the same way!!! I was looking up this info b/c we're supposed to have strong weather coming our way later. I hate leaving them in - they don't mind the rain. They haven't seen the forecast, though, of strong to severe storms this afternoon with damaging straight line winds and possible tornadoes as a cold front moves through :( . I'll just be sure to put some extra scratch in their coop - throw in some extra meal worms, and let them out extra early tomorrow to make up for it. They're not spoiled one bit ;)
