Any opinions on what to do?
I'm concerned about the bird consuming the Neosporin/Bacitracin when preening. It's not nearly as badly beaten up as this persons' bird, but the back and head have bled.

Easy solution. Get some wound kote from your local feed storespray her once real good and let her be.

That is absolutely amazing.

I have to admit I'm shocked your chicken would've sat still for you while stitching up the wound. No way would my injured leghorn do that. She doesn't even like to be petted.

Little stitches is doing just fine... I will keep her in the brooding area for another week at least, but the bruising is gone, the stitches are removed, and all looks like shewill make a fu recovery.
