A quilting friend recently gave me 3 big bags of her scrap end of cloth she did quilting with. Since the cloth pieces are fairly small, this would be a great way to use some (plus, I could maybe sell a few at the local farmer's market).

Wow this was from 6 years ago! I don't know if I used your pattern or not but I found a chicken pin cushion on Pinterest and I made it today. It's absolutley adorable!
