Sewandgrow's Second "Almost" Annual Friends of a Feather Poultry Party Turlock, CA May 18, 2014

We order out Chinese for Mother's Day dinner so my SIL has left to go pick it up so I am using my waiting time to work on the mini fodder feeder system that I am donating to the raffle at the party next Sunday. I went & bought the trays & just sat here & put all the drain holes in the bottoms of them. # sets of doubled trays ready to go. Now I will measure of the wheat & barley. What fun....another thing done.

Happy Mother's Day!

I am looking for 2 Silkie pullets or hens for a friend. Pet quality is perfectly fine as he just wants them to look at :) Also, he wants any color but black - he is convinced that black birds will die in the summer. I haven't been able to convince him otherwise, even after showing him my 30+ jet black birdies, lol.

Any help would be appreciated.
I might be able to help. I have someone coming tomorrow morning who may buy what I have but I do have a couple POL silkies and sizzles. One has a straight comb so very possible that one will be available. I know I haven't posted yet as I still am not 100% sure as I haven't had time to confirm with my wife about me coming out there. I know I have quite few english orps in pairs and a few trios (red, white, splash). I have some lemon cuckoo roos, I have a non feathered leg lavender marans roos. I have project mottled orps that are sexed. I have some huge mottled/jubille cross roos, one very minimal to almost no visible red leakage and one very much halfway that may be great to breed back to jubilee to increase the size. I have a fancy chick line white orp roo. I have a pair of laying jubilees. I have a trio or quad of speckled sussex. I have 3 splash laced red wyandotte hens. I have some marans juveniles: black copper and some from my lavender project. chick wise I have quite a few splash laced red wyandottes, black copper marans, easter eggers, BBS orps white orps, various other orps that are hatching on tuesday. send me a message if interested in any of these things. I will try to work on a price list but not likely to get anything together until wednesay. :)

Gosh, Papa Brooder is so organized. The only ones I sell are the ones someone talks me out of............LOL. I have a few hatching today so far a couple of BCM an a Light Sussex are out. I will try not to check again until the morning...........well, maybe just before I go to bed. There was a Yokohama piping last I looked.
I got the mini fodder feeder system done today for the raffle next week end & I will soak my first pound of barley tonight to start tomorrow so everyone can see day by day after a week for my demo.

My son @Coopcommander was invited to a double surprise birthday party for some of his friends. It's also his Grandma's birthday (I'm bringing my mom, she is very excited about meeting everyone. We should sing to her!) . I did give my son permission to go with his friends. So he won't be there. He's kind of torn because we are supposed to pick up some d'uccles from @fortyfivefarm Julie.

Looking forward to Sunday - probably can't be there before 1:00 as we will go to church then have to go home and change.

PLEASE PM me if you want any chicks or eggs. I'm so incredibly busy that I may not be on the forum. A PM will show up in my email news feed.

Thank you!
