Sewing machines

Well, with what you just said.....there is a Singer standard/simple sewing machine at walmart for $99.97 that is your typical standard machine......they also have a standard/really simple Brother sewing machine for $79.97

These are good buys if your not sure if you want to continue with sewing or not.

Its probably not a matter of if I want to continue or not, its more that I probably wont do it very much, just as a nice relaxing something-to-do, such as making blocks for a quilt. I figure if I do really get into it and think Id want something more involved, I could always sell it and get a better one.

I either use Paypal or my Citi Mastercard (which I pay back immediately online). They have a program to where you can generate a credit card number that is attached to your credit card number that is only good for a month. So I can use that number to shop online and I know at the end of the month its defunct. Every time you shop somewhere you can generate a different number. Its pretty nifty.

Well, if you're not sure if you'll stick with it, get a used one from a Sew and Vac shop or Craigslist. You could probably get a nice machine for the same price as a Walmart cheapie. Just make sure it comes with a manuel - you'll probably need it

Im always afraid of getting a used one. Im afraid Ill get someone elses problem. At least with a new one, I get a warranty in case something goes wrong. If I buy one from someone, I might only pay half the price of a new one, but if it croaks 2 days after I bring it home, then Im out all that money.

I always buy new, Im funny that way. Not funny ha ha, funny peculiar.

You won't sell it and get another one. You'll keep that one for backup and get another one.
They're kinda like chickens....you don't replace, you keep adding...
I have three or four.
