Sex-link crosses???

I have heard of many sex-links, like golden comets, that are like crosses with rocks and RIR's and stuff. But what would you get if you crossed a RIR rooster with a barred rock hen? Would it also be a sex link, and if so, how would the boys and girls look different?

I believe thats the cross that they use to make Black Stars. The girl chicks will be black, and the boy chicks will have a white spot on their heads. Im not sure if the boys would be red or black, tho.
