Sex link?? Or No?

Question is will the silver laced Roo crossing with a Delaware be an identifiable linked chick as the red stars are?

Reading this again, I realize I missed something the first time.
The Delawares are barred, and the Wyandotte rooster is not--so the sons will have barring and the daughters will not.
If you get chicks with a yellow dot on the head, they are probably barred and thus cockerels.

But considering that these chicks will have sort-of lacing (because of the Wyandotte father), it will probably be hard to spot the barring as they grow up--white bars on messed up lacing for cockerels may not look much different than messed up lacing with NO bars for pullets :)

Thank you the info. I still have to read this a couple more times to completely understand. I am completely new to the sex link chicks. I will post a couple pics and see if y’all can tell what they are. Thanks again for the help

Maybe these will help

Last two photos (chicks with brown or red in their feathers):
if the only red parent is a rooster, then those chicks are pullets.

First three photos: not daughters of the red rooster. Could be cockerels with either father, or could be either gender with Wyandotte father.

First photo, chick has a rose comb, therefore a Wyandotte parent. But I can't tell which parent was a Wyandotte, nor which gender this chick is.

Third photo, I think chick is getting a bigger/pinker comb, so possibly a cockerel (given the chick's age and the quality of the photo, I would not make any important decisions yet, because that guess could easily be wrong.)

I was hoping the first was a full bred silver laced.

It might be. I'm not good at recognizing that color pattern on baby chicks. I know it has the right comb type, so at least one parent is right :)

Baby chick feathers sometimes have different patterns than adult feathers, so it might be easier to tell when it grows up a bit more.
