MY HUBBY BOUGHT ME 2 BLACK SEX-LINKED CHICKS. THEY ARE ALL BLACK. THEY ARE 3 WEEKS OLD AND STILL VERY TINY. JUST NOW GETTING BIG GIRL FEATHERS. COULD THEY POSSIBLY BE BANTAMS OR IS THERE SUCH A THING? THEY WERE BOUGHT AT THE SAME TIME AS RED PRODUCTION AND WAY SMALLER.

At three weeks old a commercial sex-link should be at least half feathers by now. They may well be bantams.

Can you post photos?

I DONT KNOW HOW TO POST PICS BUT WILL GET MY DAUGHTER TO. THANKS...I BET THEY ARE BANTAMS.

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO GET A PIC ON HERE FROM MY EMAIL?

THANK YOU...I THOUGHT THEY WERE SMALL FOR THEIR AGE. I APPRECIATE YOUR INFO.

If those chicks are three weeks old and no more feathered than what your photo shows they are likely not commercial black sex-links.

But growth can be delayed if they are not well nourished. What exactly are you feeding them? A commercially made chick starter or starter/grower? What is its protein content? Are you feeding any treats or anything else along with it?
