Hi everyone. I have a Double Silver Laced Barnevelder rooster. I have two White Plymouth Rocks, two Rhode Island Reds, one Barred Rock...and two Double Silver Laced Barnevelder hens. I'm unsure whose egg this was, but it was pale brown....this chick hatched last Saturday. What do you think? I read that any non barred rooster with a Barred Rock would be a sex linked chick. Is this true?

Yes, a barred hen paired with any non-barred, non-white rooster will produce black sexlinks. Only the male offspring will inherit the barring gene, indicated by a white spot on the back of the head. It is safe to say you've got a little black sexlink pullet.
