Well, so far, the coloring holds true for male/female. Junebug at 19 or so weeks old is still all black and white. I have her 9 week old brother, Ranger, same parentage. He has a pea comb and barred hackles, hint of beard and ear muffs. Till yesterday, thought he had no red on him, but suddenly, he is getting red in tail and wing bows like the other male hatched from this pairing. The red just came in much later than expected.
