The yellow/white dot on head is a sign of barring (male). Girls will not have dots on their head. Their face is orange from the buff leakage. The males could look mostly black any white/yellow around the face is a male indicator.

I know, but it's such a small amount, it has me wondering. Most of the other males are very yellow, with yellow/pink legs, and the mostly black or black/red chicks have black legs. Wondering if that's significant.

The girls tend to have darker legs but not always. It is the color of the dot that makes me say male size doesn't matter. Girls will not have any yellow at all. the boys have one allele for barring (similar to a female barred rock). That is where the yellow/white comes from. the girls do not have any so they will not have any yellow at all. The orange leakage on the face for females is because black and Orange are co-dominate so both color are expressed, no white/yellow.

Yes. Ayam Cemanis lay a tinted egg, and with the Marans I think you'd end up with a tan egg.

I believe the fibro gene is dominant, you should have some black chickens but not Ayam Cemani black. They would almost certainly have mulberry.

The fibro gene is sexlinked. If the rooster is Ayam, than all the females should have the black skin. Males will have white skin, but may have a dark wash on the legs.

I believe the gene that inhibits dermal melanin is sexlinked, not the genes for fibro. The dominant case is to inhibit, so if the female has it and the male does not, as in the case of a Ceymani (or silkie) male, then the chicks will all have the fibro gene, but only the males will inherit the gene to inhibit dermal melanin (from their mother), making their skin lighter than the females.
