On Saturday I caponized 24 out of 26 "roosters". They are just over 6 weeks old.
2 of them had smaller combs than the rest and lighter in color. When I cut into them I could not find any glands to remove! My first thought was that maybe the 2 are females but then I think that might be impossible because they are sexed by color (Sex-links). Does anyone ever run into birds that are sex linked as male and end up as female? Do you think that maybe the glands on 2 out of the 26 are too small to see right now? Maybe they are slow to "roosterhood"?
