Sex Links Vs Barred Rock egg laying wise, anyone?

I am looking to add 9 new chickens to my flock after predation got some of them, My flock is used for egg laying as that is how I make my little bit of easy money while I'm still in school. I have 10 RIR and I am looking at getting some new breeds in, I have narrowed my choice down to Sex Links, and Barred Rocks, Please tell me which one you prefer and if the Purebred lays just as good as the hybrids. I am leaning towards BSL if I'm going to get the Hybrids, so please tell me which one you would prefer egg laying wise, personality is important but not as much as egg pruduction and egg size as I buy them ready to lay becasue I don't think the neighbors will appreciate a rooster even though we live in the country.

Both breeds will give you an egg a day.
The Barred Rocks may be a bit more friendly.

I have two of each, and I get regular eggs (nearly every day) from them all.

The BRs come greet me when I come outside, following me so closely that I nearly trip on one of them regularly. One of my BSLs is loud - she yells at the other chickens (or so it seems).

Well, if eggs are of paramount importance, virtually all the commercial hen houses keep a commercial strain of red sex links for brown egg layers. If the Barred Rock (one of my personal favorite breeds) were as prolific and as good at feed conversion, these commercial enterprises would use them, but they do not. That alone ought to tell you something, perhaps? Keep both. That's an idea.

Ok, I decided on what I am going to get, I'm getting 8 BSL, and 1 barred rock, so I can have a little variety, I also have 10 other RIR, a Columbian Rock x Red and a New Hampshire x ? Thanks for all your input

I have red sex links and my kids and I love them lots of eggs and friendly chickens
