Sex Links?

Hey all, I have been thinking of raising some sex link hens for egg production only and have been wondering if I may be able to use my orps of different colors to get some sex linked birds instead of buying different hens and roos. Durrently I have blacks, blues and buffs and have some whites in the bator. What do you all think?

Honestly I don't think its possible with what you have. I think now don't quote me on this that to make them you have to use a red or buff roo with recessive white hens that have the silver gene. I know that if they cuckoo Orpingtons you could use them with a solid colored roo to make sex links. Hopefully someone with a little better knowledge of genetics will come along and clear things up for you.
